EllinikoTheatro (Greek Theatre of New York) returns to its origin with ATHENS2018, a multi-cultural summer festival in collaboration with our beloved Theatre 104 in Gazi, Athens.

Theatrical productions from New York and Edinburgh, documentaries, and shorts by filmmakers from the United Kingdom and New Zealand, American literature, and a series of interdisciplinary masterclasses by international artists showcase EllinikoTheatro's continued dedication to dialogue bridging cultures of the world.

After a six-year, internationally sold-out run of Socrates Now, Emmy - award winner Yannis Simonides returns to the stage with Cavafy: Poet of the City. This theatrical poetry performance brings to life the extraordinary work of treasured Greek poet Constantine P. Cavafy. 

The theatrical performance Water Wings, a play about friendship, guilt, and the deep end, makes its Greek premiere as translated and adapted by Athina Kefalopoulou and directed by Amymoni Protopapa. Water Wings presents a story that is seen through the friendship of Anna and Katerina. Two different people are walking along, holding each other by the hand - when their lives and circumstances allow it. Sometimes they take different paths leaving one to wonder about the other's choices.
